As of now you can have up to 180 day length of access instead of 90 in the EU
As you may be aware, the European Commission published the changes to SCA - RTS, Article 10a, which have come into force on 25 July 2023. The key change extends the authentication period for account information services from 90 days to 180 days at the ASPSP.
This means you can specify "access_valid_for_days: “180” days in§
POST /api/v2/agreements/enduser/
and then enjoy 180 days of continuous access to the account data after authorising access.
The caveats and what-to-do's:
- Try connecting to any bank with a 180-day consent duration.
- This is not available for UK banks.
- If an error occurs, try falling back to 90 days. And let support know, so we can fix it.
- If the access expires earlier than 179 days after connecting, let support know.
- The above is because the compliance with the new rules differs wildly across banks.
We are working to bring you the latest and greatest of open banking in Europe and are eager for you to try the new features.
Bank-specific notes and known issues:
- Some banks only allow this if 90 or less days of transaction history is requested.
- SANTANDER_BSCHESMM access limited to 179 days
- Banks with known issues:
- LUMINOR_RIKOLV2X - functional, yet prone to errors
- CAISSEDEPARGNE_MIDI_PYRENEES_CEPAFRPP313
- KBC_KREDBEBB
- SPAREBANKEN_VEST_SPAVNOBB
