A requisition serves as an identification for connecting one or multiple accounts from the same bank for a specific end user. In simple terms, a requisition is a connection to a bank.
To establish a connection with an account, a requisition must be created first. The requisition includes an End User Agreement (EUA) that outlines the data that can be retrieved for the connected accounts.
By default, the following settings are applied to the End User Agreement:
- Maximum historical data: Transactions from the past 90 days(can be increased to up to 720 days)
- Access scope: Balances, Details, and Transactions for the linked accounts.
- Access validity period: By default the requisition remains valid for 90 days(can be increased up to 180 days). After this period, data retrieval is no longer possible.
(To create a custom end-user agreement please refer to step 3 of our quick-start guide.)
Once a requisition is created, the end user is required to authenticate the connection by following a generated link. This link redirects the customer to their bank's website. The end user agreement details are displayed, and the client is prompted to confirm the connection by entering their bank credentials on the bank's page.
Upon successful authentication, the client's accounts are assigned specific account IDs within this requisition. These account IDs are then used to request corresponding account data.
Using the assigned account IDs, you can retrieve the necessary account data based on your requirements and provide a seamless experience for your end users.
