Launching a new integration can be challenging. To make the process as smooth as possible for both yourself and your clients, here is a summary of best practices and things to consider before going live.
Start testing early
Start the testing process at least a few weeks before the go-live date to account for any issues that might be identified in the testing process as well as the time needed to fix those.
Do not start marketing the release before everything is thoroughly tested, all issues are resolved and the application is ready to be launched.
Test the flow from A to Z
Identify which institutions are the most crucial for your target audience and go through the full flow (starting with requisition creation and ending with the redirect to your app after an account is linked) for each of these institutions at least once.
Check logs implementation
Make sure that the log recording is working and is explicit enough to be able to easily identify and troubleshoot any issues going forward.
Consider creating automated API tests
Consider creating a set of automated tests that would periodically send API requests to GoCardless Bank Account Data API endpoints, get a response and verify that the response's status and output is as expected.
Verify your account
Consider verifying your account to improve the end user's experience: How to verify my account?
